(Black PR Wire) Atlanta, GA — The She League Conference, a two-day event dedicated to nurturing and advancing the careers of women of color in the early and mid-stages of their professional and entrepreneurial journeys, is set to make waves once again this year in Atlanta.
This all-encompassing event will be a combination of inspiration, education, and networking, leaving attendees equipped with actionable strategies to shatter glass ceilings and embrace
their full potential.
“Through The She League, we are investing in ourselves.” Says Morgan Kokaram, visionary behind the conference. “We are creating a diverse community of women who will support, challenge, and empower each other. Through the plethora of successful speakers, panels of C-suite leaders and innovators, and career development workshops, [TSL] will leave attendees ready to lead, excel, and inspire.”
Keynote speakers for this year are Melissa Proctor, CMO of The Atlanta Hawks, and Chanel Frazier, Managing Director of BlackRock. In addition to the keynote addresses, both days will feature workshops, panels, and fireside chats led by C-Suite and other executives, which will include an intimate conversation with the Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter Lori Wilson of Atlanta’s WSB-TV Chanel 2 news.
Several organizations have aligned themselves with The She League’s initiatives. Sponsors of this year’s event include UPS, ADP, Delta Community Credit Union, Gas South, and Embrace Change. In previous years, this event has welcomed approximately 250 attendees and notable thought leaders, including Lauren Simmons, Nicole Clifton (UPS), JoAnne Kennedy (Nordstrom, Inc.), Corie Pauling (TIAA), Saumya Bhatnagar (involve.ai), Lisa Smith (Georgia Power Company) and Pia Flanagan (CEO Action for Racial Equity) just to name a few.
The conference will also host the highly anticipated Risky Business Pitch Competition, providing a platform for aspiring women entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and an opportunity to receive $5,000 to support their ventures.
