A 28-year-old woman was murdered Monday in Kyanjovu, Buwunga Sub County in Masaka District, a few kilometers from where a family of five was hacked to death two days ago.

The woman, identified as Nakyibira Sylvia, was brutally hacked to death by the use of pangas (machetes) by unknown assailants.

Well, let us not say “unknown assailants” because we know that Kawempe North Member of Parliament Muhammad “Mr. Update” Ssegirinya and his Makindye West confederate Allan Aloysius Ssewanyana, commonly known as ‘Omusajja wa Bwino’, will be falsely accused again.

If accused, this trumped-up charge will serve as a sequel to the nightmare which began for the two legislators on September 3, 2021, when commissioner of police Paul Kato Tumuhimbise, on behalf of then Criminal Investigations Director, Grace Akullo, wrote to the speaker of parliament summoning the two Members of Parliament to appear before detective Moses Taremwa at Masaka police station on September 6 and record statements in connection with the July and August 2021 Greater Masaka orgy of machete killings.

These killings led to no less than 26 people dying, while others were left critically wounded by the same attacks in Lwengo and Masaka districts.

The two legislators were accused by the Gen. Museveni of being behind these killings and attacks because they were alleged to have held meetings with the actual attackers in Ndeeba, a Kampala suburb, in order to wire pull the Masaka and Lwengo machete mayhem.

According to the Museveni Junta, the two legislators promised the real attackers all manner of material trinkets and cash in exchange for the former perpetrating the cold-blooded machete attacks.

It was a classic case of “Accuse the other of that you are guilty,” words attributed to the Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

After responding to their summons and being arraigned in court, the two legislators were accused of murdering Francis Kizza, Sulaiman Kakooza, and Tadeo Kiyimba and attempted to murder Ronald Ssebyato of Ssetaala village in Masaka city. They were then remanded them to Kitalya prison.

Later, they were transferred to Kigo prison.

Now, they are out and have been free men since February 13th   (a day after Bobi Wine’s birthday) this year.

However, with no leads as to who perpetrated the June 16th  attack on a Kasese school, an attack blamed on the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebel group which was in March 2021 designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the US Department of State, the Museveni Junta must find someone to blame.

Because the Museveni Junta cannot possibly point at the real killers: Gen. Museveni and his henchmen.

So far, Gen/ Museveni’s rent-a-cops have preferred charges related to terrorism against a TikToker called Resto Kalenzi, a shop attendant by trade.

Kalenzi last week posted a video in which he bragged about being a member of ADF rebels that attacked Rubiriha Secondary School on June 16th.

According to police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, the 25 year old Kalenzi was last week arrested by operatives from the Directorate of Crime Intelligence from Lugazi and will soon be arraigned in courts of law.

However, the Ugandan public has scoffed at how such a man could have been behind attacks carried out in the western Uganda when he is based in eastern Uganda.

So, faced by a disbelieving public, the Museveni Junta must find a story more believable than accusing a shop attendant of murder.

Hence, Gen. Museveni and his merry band of false-flag waving genocidaires are likely to dust off their trumped-up charges against Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana in order to show that the two legislators are back to their killing ways.

This serves a wider purpose, of course, and that is to accuse the largest opposition party, National Unity Platform (NUP), to which the two legislators belong, of being a terrorist organization.

That way, the leader of NUP, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, better known by his musical moniker Bobi Wine, is guilty by association to the two legislators. And thereby does not stand in the way of a presidential bid by Gen. Museveni’s son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Gen. Museveni knows full well that Bobi Wine would defeat Gen. Muhoozi in the same manner he defeated Gen. Museveni himself in the last presidential election (2021).

It is thus a desperate game being played by the Museveni Junta and we hope Bobi Wine is alive to these machinations before they get worst happens and more people get killed to satisfy Gen. Museveni’s boundless bloodlust.
