The leaders of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and several African countries met today to discuss ways that the regions can grow on a united front.
Kenya is chairing the virtual summit under the theme “Unity Across Continents and Oceans: Opportunities for Deepening Integration.”
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said he was thankful that the meeting was not postponed for another year since it will allow leaders to start laying the framework to combat global challenges on a united front.
Areas that Kenyatta believes the regions can collaborate on include the blue economy, technology, debt financing and COVID-19.
