On Tuesday April, 13, the Black Star News show, on WBAI 99.5 FM (WBAI.ORG) discussed the ongoing events in Uganda in the aftermath of the stolen January elections by Ugandan dictator Yoweri Museveni.

The theme of today’s show is: “The Mafia State in Uganda” and can be heard from the WBAI Archives here.

Today’s guest is Linda Zedriga, Ugandan feminist, human rights campaigner, mentor to youth, and Vice President of National Unity Platform (NUP)— the party widely believed to have won the January Presidential election in Uganda under leadership of Bobi Wine.

The New York Times published an article April 11, 2021 under headline “‘Tell Us if He’s Dead’: Abductions and Torture Rattle Uganda” detailing campaign of kidnappings, torture, and murder by dictator Gen. Yoweri Museveni’s regime.

Zedriga, a survivor of arrest by the regime reveals more horrific details of the torture. The Museveni junta is armed by the United States and also financed with $1 billion annually in U.S. taxpayers’ money. Zedriga says Americans must tell their elected representatives “No Ugandan bloodshed with my taxpayers’ dollars!”
