“Kill Move Paradise”
World premiere of James Ijames’ play delights at National Black Theatre.
Award-winning playwright James Ijames’ “Kill Move Paradise” opened Saturday to a standing ovation at Dr. Barbara Ann Teer’s National Black Theatre (NBT).
Directed by Saheem Ali, the show starring Ryan Jamaal Swain, Donnell E. Smith, Clinton Lowe and Sidiki Fofana follows victims of police brutality, vigilante justice and racist acts as they suddenly arrive in an otherworld. The show runs through June 25 at NBT.
Performances will run Sundays at 4 p.m.; Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m.
