Hip-hop Rapper, Scarface, who rose to fame in the 80s as part of the rap trio, The Geto Boys, was arrested by authorities for not paying child support after receiving an honoree award at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.
According to the Fulton County jail’s website, the 44-year-old rapper was taken into custody Friday. A Bond was set at $482,190.
Scarface made his claim to fame as a member of the rap group, The Geto Boys, producing the hit single, “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” He later left the group to start a successful solo career.
Scarface became the second rapper arrested this year for failure to pay child support. Deputies nabbed troubled rapper DMX on his way to a performance in New York back in the spring for failure to pay child support.
