Dimwitted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth disrespected the nation’s most senior military leadership by saying he does not want to see “fat generals and admirals” anymore. Hegseth’s juvenile statement is the kind of hypocritical idiocy that has become normal in Trump’s abnormal administration.
Has Hegseth taken a good look at his obese boss lately?
Hegseth made this impudent comment Tuesday during a photo-op military meeting at Quantico, Virginia—where senior military members were being primed to go to war against Americans who don’t support Trump. We’ll get back to Trump’s preparation for war against American citizens in a minute.
But back to Hegseth.
The defense secretary, or perhaps we should now say the war secretary, told the assembled military leaders that he was unhappy with their physical fitness. Hegseth said, “Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations, or really any formation, and see fat troops. Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon leading commands around the country and the world. It’s a bad look.”
The cruel irony is that Hegseth works for a president that is a poster boy for unhealthy living. But here Hegseth is lecturing military soldiers about fitness. Many in America have surely heard stories that Trump’s idea of healthy eating is wolfing down hamburgers and fries. Even RFK Jr. is on record as calling Trump’s diet “poison.”
During his recent United Nations address, Trump complained about the stoppage of an escalator, that was apparently triggered by one of his flunkies. If this administration wants to talk fitness, why was walking up the UN escalator such a big deal for Trump?
Isn’t it a bad look when after castigating these military leaders, for being supposedly fat, that Hegseth’s portly president walked gingerly into the Quantico auditorium—and then eventually tells the generals about why he walks carefully down steps, because he is afraid of falling down?
During Trump’s speech, he said, “I’m very careful, you know, when I walk down stairs, like I’m on stairs … I walk very slowly…Just try not to fall because it doesn’t work out well. A few of our presidents have fallen and it became a part of their legacy. We don’t want that. Walk nice and easy.”
If that wasn’t bonkers enough, Trump then said this regarding President Barack Obama: “So one thing with Obama, I had zero respect for him as a president…He’d go down the stairs, wouldn’t hold on, I said it’s great, I don’t wanna do it. I guess I could do it…But he did a lousy job as president.”
WTF? Sounds like more Trump jealousy for Obama, right?
But physical fitness is one thing. Mental and intellectual fitness is quite another, although adverse physical fitness can negatively impact one’s mental fitness.
Currently, this perverse parody presidency, of Trump, is a laughingstock internationally. During Trump’s recent visit to the UN, the leaders of the world laughed at Trump, not with him, particularly when he kept bellyaching about the teleprompter and escalator. And, as Trump slips into cognitive decline, his bizarre behavior is getting worse.
Can anyone make a coherent argument that this Trump Administration, of assorted misfits, including Hegseth, is a mentally fit one?
But there is something more important that must be addressed here: Trump’s call to these military soldiers to fight against Americans who don’t agree with Trump’s policies.
Trump told them “We’re under invasion from within, no different than a foreign enemy, but more difficult in many ways because they don’t wear uniforms. At least when they’re wearing a uniform, you can take them out.” Trump also said, “We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military.”
Trump here is telegraphing his plans to escalate his tyrannical attacks on Black cities and Blue states using military power. Of course, Trump understands his MAGA base wants this—and his violent white nationalists, like those who stormed the Capitol, on Jan.6. 2021, have long had itchy trigger-fingers for a “race war.”
And so, while Pete Hegseth claims America’s soldiers are physically fat and unfit, his president, Donald Trump, is physically, mentally and spiritually, unfit to rule a demographically changing America where the white majority will soon disappear forever. Therefore, the Trump MAGA agenda to make America white again will ultimately fail.
