A big fire broke out at the festival site yesterday evening, 2 days before the festival starts. Main stage is destroyed, and the whole area is covered in black smoke. The neighbors Tomorrowland Belgium Fire 2025 are getting worried. No injuries. But nearly 1000 people had to evacuate the area when the fire brigades arrived.
The festival Tomorrowland was expecting 400.000 visitors over 2 weekends. The destruction of the main stage, an iconic member of the festival that’s famous for its crazy designs and massive productions, is a big problem for the organisation. But they say the festival will go on as planned, the shows will be moved to other stages, and DreamVille (the festival campsite) will open on Thursday as scheduled.
Tomorrowland Festival Fire Belgium: Main Stage Gone Before Opening
A massive fire destroyed the main stage at Tomorrowland Festival in Boom, Belgium, last night. All staff members left the area safely. The people living nearby closed their windows and stayed indoors.
An employee working on site called it “apocalyptic”. He heard the explosions before he saw the stage on fire. He said, “We just finished most of the work. Four weeks of work gone in 30 minutes”.
They said they would find alternatives and make sure the festival experience would be great. The workers and technicians started planning the stage schedule and performance setup immediately.

Emergency Teams Jump into Action to Contain the Fire
Dozens of emergency services arrived on site within minutes of the fire starting. Firefighters tried to stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes and woods. Investigators are looking into it, but early signs point to an accident.
Debby Wilmsen, festival spokesperson, spoke to the press after the incident. She said it was heartbreaking for the teams who worked on the stage for months. She also promised the team wouldn’t let the fire ruin the experience for the fans. “We are working on a solution. We’ll create something amazing even without the main stage,” she said.
Organisers Confirm Festival Will Go Ahead Without Main Stage
It was confirmed that the festival and its other events would be held on schedule. The campsite for attendees, called DreamVille, will open on Thursday as originally planned; 38,000 people are already on their way to the site. Staff members prepared the site to welcome them without delay.
Over 400,00 people from all over the world will be visiting the two weekends of Tomorrowland 2025. From the past to the present, artists have included David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, and Charlotte De Witte.
They would be performing on alternative stages and adjusting the festival map to fit in all performances. The teams are working relentlessly, reconstructing parts of the setup.
Resident Morgan Hermans told of her account of the fire. She said that the first sound she heard was loud pops, like fireworks. “Then, moments later, huge clouds of smoke formed very close to my house. It was scary for a moment. Everyone in Boom felt the tension,” she said
