This is what Fox News’s resident racist, Bill O'Reilly recently said about Michelle Obama, wife of leading Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama.
"I don't want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that's how she really feels - that is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever - then that's legit. We'll track it down."
O’Reilly’s racist antipathy towards Black people is nothing new.
This time, intimating the murder of Senator Obama’s wife, he’s really crossed the line and should be made to pay the price; if his employer fails to fire him, an organized boycott of Fox News’s advertisers should commence immediately.
O’Reilly, after dining at Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem several weeks ago told his listeners that he was surprised at how orderly the restaurant was and that he felt like he was in a decent Italian restaurant.
He said he was surprised by the civility of the people and the professional manner in which it was operated. “Look it’s exactly the same even though it’s run by Blacks,” O’Reilly said.
“I couldn’t get over the fact that there was no difference with other restaurants in New York City,” O’Reilly had said. He said while at Sylvia’s he didn’t hear people screaming “mother fucker,” and “I want my iced tea.”
O’Reilly got away with his racist slur. He should not get a pass again. Clearly, if anything, it’s not Michelle Obama who deserves to be lynched.
